See Me: Social Care Gathering
Written by Robyn Todd:
On the 19th of October Jack Brady and Robyn Todd travelled through
to Glasgow to the St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art, to attend the Lived Experience- See Me in Health and Social Care Gathering.
They were introduced into some of the fantastic work that See Me does and were very pleased to see their great inclusion of Young people’s mental health in their presentation. Although Jack and Robyn were the youngest members of the group discussions there was a good atmosphere which allowed for them to be confident enough to share their own experiences or examples of care they have seen used in Dundee.
They engaged in table activities sharing ideas/experiences about visits to the doctors and hospitals. What support is available in communities and found it enriching to hear other people’s own experiences from around a variety of Scotland.
They were also very happy to make some networking contacts and look forward to hearing from See Me soon and hope that there will be some opportunities soon for some close work to be done together.
